Strong Hitting Not Enough as North Delta Pirates Fall to Cloverdale Rangers
Even though the North Delta Pirates collected five hits to the Cloverdale Rangers four, they still fell 7-3 on Thursday at Hillcrest Park in Surrey

The North Delta Pirates were the first to get on the board in the first inning when an error scored one run.
Cloverdale jumped into the lead 2-1 in the bottom of the first inning after Duncan Gair tripled and Jase Ferguson singled, each scoring one run.
In the third inning Cloverdale added four more runs to their early lead when Dylan Miller singled, Colton PLank grounded out, Keyyen Morris doubled, and North Delta committed an error, each scoring one run.
The remaining innings were played fairly evenly with the game ending in favour of Cloverdale, 7-3.
Noah Grant started on the hill for the North Delta Pirates. The righty gave up four hits and seven runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking six.
Jackson Best stepped on the mound first for Cloverdale. He gave up five hits and three runs over five innings, striking out six and walking one.
Lucas Stebbings, Tyler Bernabe, N. Grant, Sammy Wong, and Brendan Grant each collected a hit for North Delta.
N. Grant went 1-for-3 at the plate as the third baseman led the team with one RBI.
Bernabe stole two bases.
Miller provided pop in the middle of the lineup and led Cloverdale with two runs batted in. The clean-up hitter went 1-for-4 on the day.
Morris, Gair, Miller, and Ferguson each collected one hit for Cloverdale.
Mateo Massaro led Cloverdale with two walks and the team collected eight over the course of the game.
Next up for the North Delta Pirates is a game against Ridge Meadows on Tuesday.
