North Delta Pirates Top Kamloops River Dogs
NORTH DELTA, BC — April 14, 2024
The North Delta Pirates topped the Kamloops RiverDogs 5-0 Sunday in the first game of a double header at Unwin Park in Surrey.

A single by Ryo Ikeda on an 0-2 count put the North Delta Pirates on the board in the top of the second.
The North Delta Pireats added another run in the third after Sammy Wong doubled.
Ikeda stepped on the bump first for the North Delta Pirates. They allowed four hits and zero runs in a complete game, striking out six and walking two.
Portras Phoenix took the mount first for Kamloops, surrendering eight hits and four runs (two earned) over five innings while striking out one and walking two.
The North Delta Pirates accumulated 10 hits in the game.
Wong led North Delta with three hits in four at bats.
Ikeda and Wong each drove in two runs for the North Delta Pirates.
Jared Goumans collected tow hits for the North Delta Pirates in four at bats.
Goumans and Tyler Bernabe each stole multiple bases for North Delta.
The North Delta Pirates ran wild on the base paths, collecting six stolen bases for the game.
The North Delta Pirates turned one double play and were sure-handed in the with no errors.
Lucas Stebbings had the most chances in the field with seven.
Ross Kallen led Kamloops with two hits in two at bats.
Kamloops turned one double play in the game.
The North Delta Pirates play the second game of their double header with Kamloops today at 12:30pm.
