Brendan Grant’s Shut-out No-Hitter Helps North Delta Pirates Claim Victory Over South Fraser Giants
The North Delta Pirates topped the South Fraser Giants 4-0 on Sunday morning in the first game of a double header at Mackie Field. Brendan Grant through a complete game, no-hit shut-out to shut the door defensively and North Delta scored all four of their runs in the bottom of the third inning to seal the victory.

The North Delta Pirates jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Jared Goumans singled, scoring one run, Tyler Conway doubled, scoring two runs, and Noah Grant hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
B. Grant stepped on the hill first for the North Delta Pirates. The starting pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking three.
Jacob Crowder started the game for the South Fraser Giants. They gave up seven hits and four runs over six innings, striking out none and walking three.
Conway provided pop in the middle of the lineup, leading the North Delta Pirates with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day.
Goumans went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead North Delta in hits while Tyler Bernabe went 2-for-3.
The North Delta Pirates did not commit a single error in the field.
The North Delta Pirates will play the South Fraser Giants in the second game of a double header Sunday afternoon.
