Mother Load of Runs Propels North Delta Pirates Past Kelowna SunDevils on Day to Remember
Jared Goumans and Sammy Wong each had four RBI to lead the North Delta Pirates past the Kelowna SunDevils in the second game of a double header at Mackie Park on Sunday. Goumans doubled in the sixth scoring two, singled in the first scoring one, and singled in the second scoring one while Wong doubled in the first scoring one, doubled in the fourth scoring two, and hit a sacrifice fly in the sixth scoring one.

Kelowna were the first to get on the boards in the first inning when an error scored a run.
The North Delta Pirates jumped back into the lead 2-1 in the bottom of the first inning after Goumans singled and Wong doubled, each scoring one run.
Jerry Beaton walked in the top of the second, temporarily knotting the game at two in the top of the second.
A single by Goumans gave the North Delta Pirates the lead back, 3-2, in the bottom of the second.
The North Delta Pirates went ahead for good with a monster inning in the sixth, scoring six runs on five hits. Ryo Ikeda singed, scoring one run, Goumans doubled, scoring two runs, Ikeda scored after tagging up, Noah Saunders grounded out, scoring one run, and Lucas Stebbings singled, scoring one run.
Nathan Strang got his first pitching start of the season for the North Delta Pirates. The righty gave up zero hits and two runs (one earned) over two innings, striking out five and walking four.
Tomas Mancini pitched four innings in relief for the North Delta Pirates and earned the win. They allowed four hits and five runs (three earned) while striking out one and walking three.
Lukas Dust took the loss for Kelowna. The righty went one inning, surrendering three runs on two hits, striking out two and walking four.
The North Delta Pirates tallied twelve hits in the game.
Ikeda and Tyler Bernabe each collected multiple hits for North Delta and Goumans and Bernabe each stole multiple bases.
The North Delta Pirates worked the count all day, piling up six walks while tallying six stolen bases for the game.
The North Delta Pirates turned one double play in the game.
Nixon Wyatt led Kelowna with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-4 on the day.
Kelowna showed patience at the plate, piling up nine walks for the game.
Beaton and Oliver Vereschatin led the team with two bases on ball each.
